TRIIN TOOMESAAR, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR<\/h4>\n

Triin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from TalTech and a Master’s degree in Political Science from Tallinn University. For a long time, she worked as the CEO of the Bullying Free School Foundation and has been involved in the work of several other NGOs in a smaller or larger role, as well as in her role as a freelance advisor to President Kersti Kaljulaid. Triin is an alumnus of the Youth to School (Noored Kooli) programme and still finds easy applications for her educational passion, both as an instructor of an information literacy course at secondary school and as a lecturer on civil society at university.<\/p>\n

MARCUS EHASOO, ADVOCACY<\/h4>\n

Marcus is responsible for advocating issues at NENO. Marcus has a bachelor’s degree in law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu and is currently in the process of acquiring a master’s degree in educational management at Tallinn University. For a long time Marcus has led advocacy organizations in the field of education mostly, therefore he has a clear vision of how advocacy works in the CSO\u2019s and what direction should be followed. He is convinced that the relations between civil society and the government should be more substantial in order to jointly contribute to the society\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

KATRE KOPPEL, ADVOCACY<\/h4>\n

Katre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Management from TalTech and is in the final stages of her Master’s studies in Public Sector Management and Innovation. She has work experience in all three sectors, giving her the ability to understand different perspectives and broader connections. As a volunteer and board member, Katre has been active in a patient organization at both the Estonian and European umbrella organization levels. She believes that in an era of limited budgets and state resources, cross-sector co-creation, strong civil society leadership, and professional advocacy are of critical importance to the state.<\/p>\n

KAROLIINA TAMMEL, ADVOCACY<\/h4>\n

As an advocacy specialist, Karoliina ensures that donating and volunteering are valued in society. She is completing her degree in Political Science at the University of Tartu and has previously worked in communications and journalism. Karoliina has been involved with the civil society sector since 2019, both as a volunteer and professionally. She believes that civil society holds an important role in preserving democracy and wishes to contribute to its development.<\/p>\n

KERTU VIIRA, COMMUNITIES<\/h4>\n

Kertu has worked in the cultural field for a long time \u2013 in the film industry, a creative union, as well as in the field of copyright. Her work has primarily focused on organizational matters within the cultural sector, advocacy, and supporting the community. Driven by her experience and interest, she is currently studying Community Engagement and Social Well-being at the University of Tartu. She has previously studied cultural theory and cultural management.<\/p>\n

Kertu strongly believes in collaboration and experimentation, ensuring that every member has a role and a place to be heard. She wishes for networks to empower and connect communities, providing both support and encouragement.<\/p>\n

MERILI K\u00c4RNER, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT<\/h4>\n

Merili leads the design, development, and delivery of training programs and other capacity-building activities offered by NENO. She holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Journalism and Public Relations, as well as Master\u2019s degrees in both Communication Management and Educational Innovation \u2013 all from the University of Tartu. Merili has spent nearly half of her professional career in the NGO sector, contributing to building organizations’ communications capacity and their broader development.<\/p>\n

She believes it is essential to enhance the professionalism and capacity of civil society, enabling organizations to fulfill their role in society with greater awareness and impact.<\/p>\n

EVA BERZIN, CIVIL SOCIETY FUND<\/h4>\n

Eva has a background in communications and project management. She holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Tallinn University and is currently pursuing a Master\u2019s degree in Cultural Management. She has experience in project planning and implementation, alongside a strong interest in civil society and public space. She believes that well-organized communications and thoughtful collaboration help organizations achieve their goals.<\/p>\n

As the coordinator of the civil society fund, Eva is responsible for information exchange and advising. She organizes information sessions on project opportunities, conducts pre-application workshops where organizations can receive feedback on their project ideas, and provides consultations throughout the application process. Additionally, she ensures that information about the fund reaches as many people as possible.<\/p>\n

HELEENE LIPPMAA-ALLIKSOO, MEMBERS<\/h4>\n

Heleene deals with members and networks. Everything to make members stand out in the activities of civil society and also to make the activities of the networks more visible and effective. In addition, Heleene runs a network of fundraisers. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in TalTech in Public Administration and Political Science and is a 14th Noored Kooli programme graduate. Heleene believes that openness, cooperation and setting common goals are the basics of a strong civil society.<\/p>\n
