A recent report from the World Giving Index, an international charity survey, shows that Estonia is ranked 49th out of 142 countries with a score of 44.
52% of respondents have donated money the month before the survey, 21% have volunteered and 58% have helped a stranger. Last year, 43% of Estonian respondents donated money, 20% volunteered and 55% helped a stranger.
The world average score is 39, one point lower than last year. Ukraine made the highest increase – by 13 points to a score of 62 and second place overall.
